The Gryphon

The Gryphon is an adaptation of the 1989 book of the same name by Wolfgang Hohlbein and Heike Hohlbeindal.

Compared to the book, the German series is set in a different time interval.

The series is set in the early 1990s, with a grunge-tinged soundtrack, then at its peak.

The series starts off very slowly, so much so that one feels like leaving it alone.

As you get to know the characters and with the advent of new situations peppered with flashbacks you start to get involved.

The Gryphon could be Amazon‘s Stranger Things.

The ingredients are all there even if there is still something missing that we hope to find in the second season.

Available on Amazon Prime Video.
