This album comes after some members left the band, we only find Kerr and Burchill from the original line-up.
Good news from the next world differs from its predecessors by the lesser use of synthesiser in favour of guitars.
The result is a more captivating sound.
The new Simple Minds have thus abandoned their experimental pop to catch up with the alternative rock and grunge that dominated the scene in the early 1990s.
Certainly it is Kerr‘s voice that makes it all more interesting with emotional leaps worthy of the best Bono.
The lyrics repeat the same line as in the past.
It is not the band‘s best album, but it does its job and the various tracks flow well.
I liked it at the time and still enjoy listening to it today and I also say that it carries its years well.
