Shōgun

From James Clavell's novel of the same name, the ten-episode miniseries is an exciting and epic combination of adventure, action and politics. From the bloodiest scenes of violence to the most touching scenes of lyricism, the culture, philosophy and history of feudal Japan in the 17th century is revealed.

In this context, an isolated and distant Japan is highlighted.

Shōgun is astounding at every juncture, from the plot, to the stage performance, to the interpretation.

Never banal, one remains attached to the screen, whether for the action scenes, or just for the scenic representations, which I repeat are of the highest level.

Absolutely must-see.
