On the occasion of the release of an album of rarities, containing 29 tracks, including the six released on the first cassette tape that the band distributed during concerts and in various record shops in Los Angeles in 1992, I take the opportunity to talk about this group born in Portland in the History of Music section.
The founders were a young Elliot Smith, who will be discussed in an upcoming History of Music, and his college friend Neil Gust.
It was the height of Grunge and the band followed its sound.
They remained unknown to the rest of the world, but reached a considerable fan base in the city of Portland.
Smith‘s desire to devote himself to more intimate and personal music led them to disband.
Their discography includes three albums and an ep.
1993 Dead Air.
1994 Cop and Speeder,
1994 Yellow No.5.
1996 Mic City Sons.
