The flesh-and-blood revival of Avatar: The Last Airbender is half-convincing.
You want for the sparse dialogue, you want for the superficial description of the characters, sometimes barely sketchy.
The action scenes, costumes and the choice of oriental actors give a boost, even if some performances are not really up to the mark.
Netflix took no risks by playing it safe.
On the whole, the eight episodes of the first season flow well, so it cannot be said that the series falls short of expectations.
It remains a good product, and this is due as mentioned to the company's choice not to go overboard.
I recommend viewing.
